Your caregiver is the person in the house. Your care manager is the person who makes sure the care is right. Every client has one, by name, with a direct number.
What they do
- The free home visit and the written plan.
- Matching and introducing the caregiver.
- Unannounced visits during shifts.
- Changing the plan when the situation changes, which it will.
- Talking to the case manager, the pharmacy and the clinic on your behalf, with your permission.
When to call
Anything that worries you. A caregiver who was late. A change in your parent you noticed at the weekend. A bill you do not understand. We would rather hear about small things early.
After hours
The office is open [Mon to Fri, 8:30 to 5:00]. Clients have an on-call number that is answered 24 hours a day by a person, not a machine. It is for care problems that cannot wait; for a medical emergency, call 911.
