Within a few days
The free home visit, about an hour, at a time that suits your parent rather than us.
Within 24 hours of the visit
A written care plan and a weekly total, with any funded public hours applied first.
Then, if you want to go ahead
You meet your caregiver by name, and care starts. Usually within 48 hours.

Caregiver Alberta, 780-453-5088, supports family caregivers directly. The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories runs a First Link programme and support groups across Edmonton. Neither costs anything, and neither of them is us.
